The Santa Fe Chiefs volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host San Gabriel Matadors to 1 in the Chiefs non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Chiefs now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whittier for a game on Wednesday, March 15.

The Matadors (2-2) will now prepare for their game against South El Monte (South El Monte, CA). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, South El Monte was nudged by Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia, CA), 2-1, in a non-league game.
