Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Valley Wolf Pack (Fairbanks, AK), 43-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Lathrop upgrades its record to 15-10 on the season. The Malemutes host Monroe Catholic (Fairbanks, AK) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 2. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 19-4. Monroe Catholic won 64-21 in their recent league bout against Ben Eielson (Eielson AFB, AK)

Next up, the Wolf Pack clash with the North Pole Patriots (North Pole, AK) in a 4A Mid Alaska bout, on Friday, March 3. West Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 49-15 non-league loss to Nenana (Nenana, AK).
