In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks basketball team scored a decisive 70-35 triumph over the Covenant Eagles.

In their next game, the Mavericks meet the Steward Spartans (Richmond, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 3. Miller School of Albemarle will attempt to move on its 24-7 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 23-9 record after their 72-46 non-league win over Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA).

With the defeat, Covenant moves to 17-13 on the year.
