In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Sault Area Blue Devils basketball team scored a good 41-30 triumph over the Petoskey Northmen.
In their next game, the Blue Devils meet the Traverse City Central Trojans (Traverse City, MI) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 3. Sault Area will attempt to move on its 19-2 season record. The Trojans enter the match with a 17-6 record after their 52-26 non-league win over Gaylord (Gaylord, MI).
With the defeat, Petoskey moves to 15-9 on the year.
