University Heights Blazers (Hopkinsville, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Christian County Colonels (Hopkinsville, KY), 82-81 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, University Heights upgrades its record to 23-5 on the campaign.

Next up, the Colonels play the Lyon County Lyons (Eddyville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 7. Christian County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-18 season record. The Lyons come into the bout with a 29-3 record after their 100-50 non-league win over Trigg County (Cadiz, KY).
