North Dakota High School Basketball - Thompson can't hold off South Prairie

The South Prairie Royals basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Thompson Tommies to 52 in the Royals non-league victory on Friday.
The Royals now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Devils Lake for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 2. South Prairie will battle a Firebirds team coming off a 59-57 non-league win over Valley City (Valley City, ND). The Firebirds record now stands at 23-7.
The Tommies (24-1) will now prepare for their contest against Valley City (Valley City, ND). The Hi-Liners come into the non-league contest with a 16-10 record. In their last contest, Valley City was nudged by Devils Lake (Devils Lake, ND), 59-57, in a non-league contest.
