In Friday's league battle, the visiting Vela Sabercats soccer squad scored a close 2-0 triumph over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders.
The Sabercats (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Region 4 District 31 battle with a 15-2 record. In their last battle, McAllen nudged Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX), 9-0, in a league battle.
