North Carolina High School Lacrosse - Union Pines can't get by Clayton

March 1, 2024: Clayton, NC 27520

Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 8-7 in a non-league battle.

The Comets now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Willow Spring for a Greater Neuse River battle on Tuesday, March 5. Clayton will clash with a Storm squad coming off a 19-6 non-league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC). The Storm record now stands at 0-3.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) in a United 8/All American/Sandhills battle, on Thursday, March 7. Union Pines will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.
