The Liberty Redhawks soccer team scored 3 points and limited the host Independence Knights to 2 in the Redhawks league victory on Friday.
Next, the Redhawks face the Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 10 contest, on Tuesday, March 5. Liberty will attempt to better on its 7-9 season record. The Mavericks enter the contest with a 3-11 record after their 2-0 league loss to Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX).
The Knights now have a 1-16 record. They take the field next when they host Lebanon Trail for a 5A Region 2 District 10 contest on Tuesday, March 5. Independence will face a Trail Blazers team coming off a 1-0 league win over Centennial (Frisco, TX). The Trail Blazers record now stands at 8-7.
