Clark Cougars (San Antonio, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Madison Mavericks (San Antonio, TX), 13-10 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to MacArthur for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. Clark will face a Brahmas squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Edison (San Antonio, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Madison falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Reagan (San Antonio, TX) to face the Rattlers in a 6A Region IV District 28 challenge on Wednesday, March 6. The Rattlers enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Reagan lost 15-5 in their recent league challenge against Lee (San Antonio, TX)
