Countryside Christian Minutemen (Gainesville, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting First Coast Christian Knights (Jacksonville, FL), 16-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Minutemen now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Meadowbrook Academy for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. Countryside Christian will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 21-0 non-league loss to Leesburg (Leesburg, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, First Coast Christian falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Parsons Christian Academy (Jacksonville, FL) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Parsons Christian Academy lost 23-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Eagle's View (Jacksonville, FL)
