Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lennox Academy Panthers (Lennox, CA), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Legacy for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 6. Hawthorne will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Paramount (Paramount, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Lennox Academy falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Environmental Charter (Lawndale, CA) to battle the White Tigers in a Mulholland challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The White Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Environmental Charter lost 15-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, CA)
