The Newsome Wolves baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Alonso Ravens to 1 in the Wolves league win on Saturday.

The Wolves now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plant City for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. Newsome will play a Raiders team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Lakeland Christian (Lakeland, FL). The Raiders record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Alonso drops to 5-2 on the year. The Ravens host Gaither (Tampa, FL) to play the Cowboys in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. The Cowboys go into the test with a record of 6-2. Gaither won 12-4 in their recent non-league test against Chamberlain (Tampa, FL)
