The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Woodland Wildcats (Cartersville, GA) and the host Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL), saw Woodland's baseball team get by Cherokee County by a tally of 2-1.

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Area 7 battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Cedartown was tipped by Rockmart (Rockmart, GA), 13-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Warriors face the Glencoe Yellowjackets (Glencoe, AL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 4. Cherokee County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 0-6 record after their 14-7 non-league loss to West End (Walnut Grove, AL).
