In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Ketchikan Kings basketball team scored a close 76-69 triumph over the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves.
The Kings (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK). The Crimson Bears go into the non-league contest with a 10-15 record. In their last contest, Juneau-Douglas nipped North Pole (North Pole, AK), 53-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Braves confront the Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 6. Mt. Edgecumbe will attempt to better on its 18-5 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 8-16 record after their 70-64 non-league win over Homer (Homer, AK).
