Kentucky High School Basketball - Phelps fells Magoffin County

The Phelps Hornets basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Magoffin County Hornets to 59 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hornets now have a 15-12 record. They play next when they travel to Martin County for a non-league game on Saturday, March 8. Phelps will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 87-71 non-league win over Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 20-9.

With the loss, Magoffin County falls to 6-23 on the campaign.
