In Saturday's non-league test, the Rootstown Rovers (Rootstown, OH) basketball squad got by the host Smithville Smithies (Smithville, OH), by a score of 37-36.

Next, the Rovers clash with the Columbus Grove Bulldogs (Columbus Grove, OH) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 7. Rootstown will attempt to better on its 26-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 25-2 record after their 45-41 non-league win over Patrick Henry (Hamler, OH).
