The New Bern Bears baseball team scored 14 runs and held the host Croatan Cougars to 6 in the Bears non-league win on Saturday.

The Bears now hold a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Havelock for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. New Bern will play a Rams team coming off a 11-5 non-league win over West Craven (Vanceboro, NC). The Rams record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Croatan moves to 0-2 on the season. The Cougars host Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 4. The Cardinals come into the match with a record of 1-1. Jacksonville won 13-12 in their recent non-league match against West Craven (Vanceboro, NC)
