In Saturday's non-league match, the host Rio Rancho Rams softball team scored a tight 13-10 win over the Farmington Scorpions.
The Rams (4-1) will now prepare for their match against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, La Cueva nipped Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 18-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Scorpions battle the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 18. Farmington will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
