The Bunkie Panthers got by the host Rayne Wolves softball squad by a count of 12-11 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers meet the Marksville Tigers (Marksville, LA) in a 3A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, March 4. Bunkie will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Georgetown (Georgetown, LA).
The Wolves (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Church Point (Church Point, LA). The Bears go into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Church Point held off Delcambre (Delcambre, LA), 14-2, in a non-league challenge.
