West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA), 12-9 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, West Ouachita upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Chiefs host Airline (Bossier City, LA) to play the Vikings in a non-league game on Monday, March 3. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 4-1. Airline won 13-9 in their recent non-league game against Texas (Texarkana, TX)

The Spartans now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to LaSalle for a non-league game on Monday, March 3. Caldwell Parish will play a Tigers squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Neville (Monroe, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-2.
