Hancock Hawks (Kiln, MS) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS), 10-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hancock improves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Hawks host Columbia (Columbia, MS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league game on Friday, March 7. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 5-3.

The Cougars now hold a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wesson for a non-league game on Tuesday, March 4. Lawrence County will play a Cobras squad coming off a 11-6 non-league win over West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS). The Cobras record now stands at 6-1.
