Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils confront the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge, on Tuesday, March 15. Brevard will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).

The Hilltoppers now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hendersonville for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 15. R-S Central will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-2.
