Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Dougherty Trojans (Albany, GA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Syrupmakers confront the Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA) in a AAAA Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, March 15. Cairo will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Golden Tornadoes enter the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Worth County (Sylvester, GA).

The Trojans now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Westover for a AAAA Region 1 challenge on Thursday, March 17.
