In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team scored a tight 7-3 victory over the East Wilkes Cardinals.
The Blackhawks (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons go into the game with a 3-2 record.
The Cardinals (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears go into the game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Mount Airy was overwhelmed by East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC), 6-3, in a non-league game.
