The Boaz Pirates routed the visiting Pennington Tigers softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Pirates (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Oneonta (Oneonta, AL). The Redskins go into the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Oneonta was routed by Douglas (Douglas, AL), 4-1, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now sport a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to Holly Pond for a 3A Area 13 battle on Friday, March 11. Pennington will meet a Broncos squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Cold Springs (Bremen, AL). The Broncos record now stands at 3-2.
