The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Palmetto Mustangs (Williamston, SC) and the visiting Crescent Tigers (Iva, SC), saw Palmetto's softball squad nip Crescent by a count of 6-2.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belton-Honea Path for a non-league match on Monday, March 14. Palmetto will face a Bears squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Simpsonville, SC). The Bears record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Crescent falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Dixie (Due West, SC) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 16. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 7-1. Dixie won 23-0 in their recent league match against Southside Christian (Simpsonville, SC)
