The Decatur Red Raiders got by the visiting East Lawrence Eagles softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Red Raiders (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Wilson (Florence, AL). The Warriors go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Wilson was edged by Brooks (Killen, AL), 12-0, in a league battle.
The Eagles now sport a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Lauderdale County for a non-league battle on Friday, March 11. East Lawrence will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 17-16 non-league loss to Hatton (Town Creek, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.
