The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX) and the host Slocum Mustangs (Elkhart, TX), saw Latexo's softball squad nip Slocum by a count of 8-1.

The Tigers now sport a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grapeland for a 2A Region IV District 25 match on Friday, March 11. Latexo will face a Sandies squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Diboll (Diboll, TX). The Sandies record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Slocum falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Groveton (Groveton, TX) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Friday, March 11. The Indians enter the match with a record of 13-7.
