The Richmond Raiders routed the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves softball squad by a final score of 13-3 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Raiders (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots go into the Sandhills 3A/4A challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Pinecrest was routed by Asheboro (Asheboro, NC), 9-5, in a non-league challenge.
With the loss, Montgomery Central falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Timberwolves host Union Pines (Cameron, NC) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 14. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Union Pines won 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC)
