Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Palo Verde Titans (Tucson, AZ), 24-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. David for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. Safford will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to San Manuel (San Manuel, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Palo Verde falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Titans host Tanque Verde (Tucson, AZ) to battle the Hawks in a 3A South challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Tanque Verde lost 10-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Pueblo (Tucson, AZ)
