The Rome Wolves the visiting River Ridge Knights baseball team by a count of 9-7 in Friday's league bout.
The Wolves now possess a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to LaFayette for a non-league bout on Monday, March 13. Rome will face a Ramblers team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA). The Ramblers record now stands at 7-6.
Next, the Knights face the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) in a 6A Area 6 bout, on Tuesday, March 14. River Ridge will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Chiefs enter the bout with a 6-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Allatoona (Acworth, GA).
