Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Harker Heights Knights (Harker Heights, TX), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Temple for a challenge on Tuesday, March 14.

With the loss, Harker Heights falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Temple (Temple, TX) to face the Wildcats in a challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
