Spectators at Friday's league match between the Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) and the visiting Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX), witnessed Grapevine's softball squad tip Birdville by a count of 7-3.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ryan for a 5A Region I District 7 match on Monday, March 13. Grapevine will face a Raiders squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Birdville moves to 5-8 on the season. The Hawks travel to Argyle (Argyle, TX) to face the Eagles in a 5A Region I District 7 match on Wednesday, March 15. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 16-4. Argyle lost 8-4 in their recent league match against Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX)
