The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Cleveland Indians (Cleveland, TX), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Highlanders now own a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to College Park for a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Woodlands will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, Cleveland falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to New Caney (New Caney, TX) to battle the Eagles in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Saturday, March 11. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 11-8. New Caney lost 9-5 in their recent league challenge against Conroe (Conroe, TX)
