Texas High School Softball - Longview holds off Mt. Pleasant

The Longview Lobos the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers softball squad by a count of 4-2 in Friday's league battle.

The Lobos (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Tyler (Tyler, TX). The Lions go into the 5A Region II District 15 bout with a 2-15 record. In their last bout, Tyler by Texas (Texarkana, TX), 25-1, in a league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 8-13 record. They play next when they travel to Marshall for a 5A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, March 14. Mt. Pleasant will confront a Mavericks squad coming off a 18-2 league loss to Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 7-9.
