Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Shelbyville Dragons (Shelbyville, TX), 8-6 in a league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Joaquin for a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, March 17.

With the loss, Shelbyville falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Dragons host Joaquin (Joaquin, TX) to face the Rams in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Joaquin lost 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Pollok Central (Pollok, TX)
