The Seguin Matadors baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Brackenridge Eagles to 1 in the Matadors non-league win on Monday.

The Matadors now hold a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Edison for a 5A Region IV District 27 test on Wednesday, March 12. Seguin will play a Golden Bears team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Burbank (San Antonio, TX). The Golden Bears record now stands at 6-3.

With the defeat, Brackenridge drops to 0-9 on the year. The Eagles travel to Sam Houston (San Antonio, TX) to play the Hurricanes in a 5A Region IV District 27 test on Wednesday, March 12. The Hurricanes go into the test with a record of 0-4. Sam Houston lost 13-1 in their recent league test against Jefferson (San Antonio, TX)
