The Kirk Academy Raiders (Grenada, MS) baseball trounced the host Manchester Academy Mavericks (Yazoo City, MS), 9-2 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Marshall Academy for a MAIS 4A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 18. Kirk Academy will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over West Point (West Point, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 8-6.

With the defeat, Manchester Academy drops to 12-5 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Winston Academy (Louisville, MS) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 12. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Winston Academy lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against East Rankin Academy (Pelahatchie, MS)
