The Cibola Cougars baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Rio Grande Ravens to 1 in the Cougars non-league win on Monday.

The Cougars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Volcano Vista for a test on Thursday, March 13. Cibola will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Rio Grande drops to 0-1 on the year. The Ravens travel to Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, March 13. The Golden Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-0. Eldorado won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Valley (Albuquerque, NM)
