The Ider Hornets softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Section Lions to 2 in the Hornets non-league win on Monday.

The Hornets now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodville for a 1A Area 15 battle on Tuesday, March 11. Ider will confront a Panthers team coming off a 16-0 league loss to Skyline (Scottsboro, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Section moves to 0-4 on the season. The Lions travel to North Sand Mountain (Higdon, AL) to confront the Bison in a 2A Area 15 battle on Thursday, March 13. The Bison come into the battle with a record of 2-3. North Sand Mountain won 13-4 in their recent non-league battle against Fyffe (Fyffe, AL)
