The Natomas Nighthawks (Sacramento, CA) softball nipped the host Leroy Greene Academy Lions (Sacramento, CA), 31-30 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Nighthawks now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sutter for a Golden Empire League outing on Tuesday, March 11. Natomas will encounter a Huskies team coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Carson (Carson City, NV). The Huskies record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Leroy Greene Academy moves to 2-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Encina (Sacramento, CA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League outing on Wednesday, March 12.
