The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes triumphed over the host West St. John Rams softball squad by a count of 16-6 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Hurricanes play the St. Mary's Academy Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. L.W. Higgins will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 19-2 non-league win over Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA).
The Rams (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Crescent City Christian (Metairie, LA). The Pioneers enter the 1A District 10 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Crescent City Christian was routed by Newman (New Orleans, LA), 7-0, in a non-league challenge.
