North Carolina High School Baseball - Draughn loses to R-S Central

March 10, 2026: Rutherfordton, NC 28139

R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 5-2 in a league game.

The Hilltoppers (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Wildcats go into the Western Piedmont 3A/4A game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Draughn by R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC), 5-2, in a league game.

Next, the Wildcats play the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A game, on Friday, March 13. Draughn will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the game with a 5-0 record after their 5-2 league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC).
