The Houston County Bears baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Effingham County Rebels to 5 in the Bears non-league victory on Friday.
The Bears (10-2) will now prepare for their match against Veterans (Kathleen, GA). The Warhawks go into the non-league match with a 7-5 record. In their last match, Veterans was overwhelmed by Vidalia (Vidalia, GA), 14-4, in a non-league match.
The Rebels (2-9) will now prepare for their match against Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA). The Tigers go into the AAAAAA Region 2 match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Bradwell Institute was overwhelmed by Statesboro (Statesboro, GA), 9-5, in a league match.
