California High School Baseball - Healdsburg holds off Piner

Healdsburg Greyhounds (Healdsburg, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Piner Prospectors (Santa Rosa, CA), 6-2 in a league test.

With the win, Healdsburg upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Greyhounds host Cloverdale (Cloverdale, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, March 12. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-1. Cloverdale lost 14-6 in their recent non-league test against Sonoma Academy (Santa Rosa, CA)

With the defeat, Piner falls to 0-5 on the season. The Prospectors host St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA) to battle the Mustangs in a North Bay - Redwood test on Wednesday, March 16. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 3-1. St. Vincent de Paul won 13-12 in their recent non-league test against Montgomery (Santa Rosa, CA)
