In Friday's non-league contest, the Southern Academy Cougars (Greensboro, AL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Autauga Academy Generals (Prattville, AL), by a margin of 9-1.
With the triumph, Southern Academy moves its record to 17-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Evangel Christian (Alabaster, AL) to clash with the Lightning in a non-league test on Monday, March 14. The Lightning come into the test with a record of 8-2.
The Generals (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Ezekiel Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 12-2 record.
