Boling Bulldogs (Boling, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hempstead Bobcats (Hempstead, TX), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Danbury for a 3A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Boling will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 15-4 non-league win over Cuero (Cuero, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 13-10.

With the loss, Hempstead falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX) to battle the Leopards in a 3A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Leopards enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Van Vleck lost 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Brazos (Wallis, TX)
