With the triumph, Joaquin improves its record to 2-8 on the year. The Rams host Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX) to clash with the Dragons in a 2A Region III District 22 game on Friday, March 25. The Dragons come into the game with a record of 6-10.

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats (Mt. Enterprise, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 game, on Tuesday, March 15. Timpson will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 2-1 record after their 14-0 league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).
