The Mount Tabor Spartans routed the visiting R.J. Reynolds Demons softball squad by a count of 17-2 in Friday's league battle.

The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC). The Eagles go into the Central Piedmont 4A battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, East Forsyth topped Davie (Mocksville, NC), 11-0, in a league battle.

The Demons now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Parkland for a Central Piedmont 4A battle on Tuesday, March 15. R.J. Reynolds will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Glenn (Kernersville, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.
